Excellent piece. It reminded me of the film Black Robe (1991), directed by Bruce Beresford (of Driving Miss Daisy fame), which had an Eastern Wood-Pewee calling in the middle of winter in Quebec. Ridiculous. Your comment about other sub-cultures being treated better than birdwatching is bang-on. The Ferris Bueller analogy is perfect.
YELLOWBIRD about this small bird in france who must lead these other birds south to africa. Adentures in Zambezia A Falcon going into this bird city in a tree atop Victoria Falls SURFS UP a Rock Hopper Penguin and his buddy Chicken Joe and this funny little sandpiper named Mikie,VALIANT a WW II carrier Pigeon
If anyone can remember those movies and the Danial Boon tv series they ofen used the Whipoorwill call and a western where the Great Horned Owl is shown and hooting as well
The Moody Blues made a welcome return to the UK hit parade as did The Four Tops with their first hit single on their new record label. world best movie.
The movie is very beautiful. I got a lot of pleasure from watching the movie. You will also like it by searching.
